Jindalee Lithium listed on the ASX in 2002 (ASX:JLL) and has since enjoyed a continued track record of successful mineral exploration and development. The company’s flagship project is the McDermitt Lithium Project in south-east Oregon, USA.
The Trump administration has reasserted an “America First” approach to energy security, issuing Executive Orders aimed at fast-tracking critical mineral projects and strengthening domestic supply chains. McDermitt, held via Jindalee’s U.S. subsidiary HiTech Minerals Inc., is directly aligned with these priorities.
Designated a FAST-41 Transparency Project and located on federally owned land, McDermitt stands to benefit from accelerated permitting and increased federal support. With robust project economics outlined in the 2024 Pre-Feasibility Study—including long life, low cost, and scalability—McDermitt is well positioned to attract strategic industry and government backing.
Our Tier 1 asset represents a compelling opportunity for investors, strategic partners, and the Oregon and Nevada communities. As one of the largest lithium deposits in the U.S., McDermitt has the potential to materially reduce sovereign risk, support onshore manufacturing, and contribute to domestic production of battery-grade lithium.
The Project is also expected to deliver substantial local economic benefits—creating ~1,000 construction jobs at peak, ~600 long-term operational roles, and up to 1,200 additional indirect jobs—making it potentially the largest single private sector investment in rural Oregon.
The U.S. has long been a global leader in automotive innovation and is poised to lead again as battery-powered vehicles replace internal combustion engines. With its scale, location, and secure domestic supply of a critical mineral, McDermitt is the right project, in the right place, at the right time—supporting not just the transition to electric mobility, but also broader energy security and energy storage objectives.
