Jindalee Lithium listed on the ASX in 2002 (ASX:JRL) and has since enjoyed a continued track record of successful mineral exploration and development. The company’s flagship project is the McDermitt Lithium Project in south-east Oregon, USA.
The Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) underlines America’s ambitions to assist in the energy transition towards electric mobility within the transportation sector.
Driven by the need for the US to reduce dependence on imported battery materials and chemicals, the US Government has committed US$369 billion via the IRA to promote projects and businesses within the American battery value chain.
Our Tier 1 asset represents a significant opportunity for investors, partners and the wider Oregon community. As well as powering America’s electric transition, delivering the largest lithium deposit in the US will help reduce sovereign risk and support on-shore manufacturing.
The US has always been at the forefront of global innovation within the automotive sector and intends to play a leading role as battery-powered vehicles replace internal combustion engine technology.
Our wholly owned McDermitt Lithium Project hosts one of the nation’s largest lithium resources and sits on the doorstep of America’s auto industry.
We have engaged global engineering house Fluor Corporation to lead a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) on the McDermitt Lithium Project with initial results expected by mid-2024.
We are dedicated to accelerating America’s immense potential for a clean energy future.
McDermitt is the right project, in the right location, at the right time.
Values that underpin an electrified future
We are enthusiastically pursuing a decarbonised economy, but we don’t believe the transformation journey has to be at all costs.
We care deeply for the sustainment of the environment, the community and our people.
We’ve made a bold decision around the direction we wish to move forward in, and are steadfast in our long-term vision.
We are dedicated and determined to realise our potential.
Across all aspects of our business, stakeholders can depend on us to operate in a safe and ethical manner.
We honour our word and commitments, taking a long-term view to ensure things are done the right way.
